For the trivia file: the September issue of BYTE magazine has a brief
description (p. 310) of a new "standard format for exchanging data
between computers and peripherals that create or capture graphics
images," being developed by about 160 computer companies. Originally it
was called CLASP (Connecting Link for Applications and Source
Peripherals), but its name has changed to TWAIN (Toolkit Without An
Important Name). Honest.

Just thought a warning might be in order that the next TWAIN list or
newsgroup to appear may have nothing to do with SLC (Sinfully Large
Computers? Simplified Literary Comedy?)
