Canadian Society for International Health Seeks Executive Director
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Canadian Society for International Health (CSIH) is currently conducting
a search for a new Executive Director.  With an annual budget in excess of
$2.0 million, the CSIH is active in several capacities.  These include:
serving as the technical representative in Canada for the Pan American
Health Organization (PAHO); managing health reform projects in the Ukraine
and Bolivia; networking among professionals and organizations active in
health in development; international health advocacy; support and conduct of
training and placement opportunities for students and recent graduates in
international health; and supporting Divisions of Tropical Medicine and
Higher Education & Research.

The Executive Director will be responsible for overall management and the
continued operation of the Society.

Applicants should possess a master's degree, have senior management
experience that includes personnel and finance, and have participated in and
managed human development projects overseas.  Important assets include
knowledge of governmental, multi-lateral, and non-governmental agencies
active in health in development, familiarity with electronic means of
communication, networking skills, program development and successful
funding.  Candidates should be bilingual (French and English), with fluency
in Spanish considered an additional asset.  This is a full-time position.
Salary is competitive, will be commensurate with experience, and includes an
excellent benefits program.

The Society is the broad-based, multidisciplinary association involving
Canadians committed to the promotion of international health and
development.
