I am eagerly awaiting the response of Forum readers to the recent request
for Mark Twain bibliographies. I do not have a ready answer, though I
heartily recommend Robert Gale, PLOTS AND CHARACTERS IN THE WORKS OF MARK
TWAIN. 2 vols. Archon Books, 1973. Gale even udentifies unpublished
works by Mark Twain, such as "Concerning the Scoundrel Edward H. House,"
and also works obscurely published.
