John,
I am interested in your panel idea for reading dialect in Huck Finn.  I
have taught the book and have read aloud from it for 15 years.  I'm from
Texas and can do a decent accent when I want to.  I'd be happy to send
you a tape.  I am a woman, although white.  I particularly like the
chapter in which Huck visits Ms. Loftis.
