If you're looking for an end-of-the-semester diversion, you might want to
go see _Deep Impact_.  I don't really recommend the film on its own merits,
but Robert Duvall's character makes a nice mention of Mark Twain and
navigating the Mississippi.  There's a reference later on to _Huck Finn_
and other "real books."  Melville scholars will be pleased too.
