Yes!  A friend of mine, not connected on Internet, came up with this query.
I did some cursory research and came up empty.  Frankly, the whole thing
felt
contrived. I made the assumption (perhaps incorrect) that SLC manufactured
the Mark Twain Club of Corrigan Castle and Mr. Blank to fill out the
"Bendigo" chapter.  Your post makes things interesting.  I'd love to hear
your evidence, summarized or otherwise.

Note:  Is the MTJ the "Mark Twain Journal"?
