appropriate individuals within the organization. The General Manager will
maintain all administrative records and files, including the membership
 register and all CLGA databases.

The GM will be responsible for ordering supplies, receiving and directing
materials, keeping on-site equipment operational, and conducting relations
with our landlord and other suppliers. Moreover, the GM will be
responsible for making bank deposits, managing petty cash, ensuring
payment of all bills, and coordinating the issuance of tax receipts. The
GM will also keep track of volunteer hours and execute recruitment
campaigns as required. Working in conjunction with the Operations
Committee, the GM will contribute to the review and development of
operational policies and procedures on an on-going basis.

In addition to maintaining routine operations, the General Manager will
provide administrative support to our officers and committees as needed
and will direct mail-outs for the archives, research granting
opportunities, prepare information packages, and keep track of grant
applications. In preparation for our move from 56 Temperance Street, the
General Manager will act as liaison between planning committees and their
contacts. The GM may be also asked to perform any task currently mandated
 to a committee.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall management of the
Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives. The successful candidate will have the
ability to maintain an effective relationship with key members of the gay
and lesbian community, the general public, various levels of government,
 volunteers and other stakeholders.
