advantage of automated facilities that allow them to notify email
correspondents that they will be out of the office.

If you choose to do this, please remember to SIGNOFF AAOLIST - and every
other discussion list to which you subscribe - until your return.
Otherwise, each legitimate posting to the list will generate to every
other subscriber your automatic notice that you are out of the office,
on vacation, etc.

In the body of the note say:

SIGNOFF AAOLIST

Leave the subject line blank and delete any epilogs from your note.
