     The application deadlines for CCI's  fall advanced professional 
development workshops are fast approaching.

      Archaeological Conservation: Specialized Techniques and Research for 
Wet Objects (September 21-24) will focus on the research, analysis, and 
treatment of wet organic materials, iron, and iron/wood composites.
      Application deadline August 20, 2009.

      Key Issues in Emergency Preparedness and Response (October 20-23) will 
deal with setting up an emergency plan and making it work effectively.
      Application deadline extended to August 1, 2009.
