The CCA (Canadian Council of Archives) have issued the following
announcement about the new and improved edition of an excellent publication
in archival preservation literature " Basic Conservation of Archival
Materials", known formerly as "The Red Book".  I highly recommend this as
essential reading.

"Manuel de conservation des documents d'archives" est maintenant disponible
sur sa page Web au site du CCA. Connu par plusieurs d'entres nous dans la
communauté archivistique sous le nom de "Red Book", la publication est
postée en chapitres indépendants en format PDF afin de faciliter la
navigation et l'imprimerie des textes désirés.
