Hi! I was wondering if you could be of some assistance to me. I'm a
reporter with the Wall Street Journal who is working on a project for the
millennium, our very own "Millennium Project." I am compiling a list of
the most influential business and economic theorists including Adam
Smith, Karl Marx, etc, from the past 1000 years. I'm looking for any
information on people who have influenced economies and business over the
last one thousand years from ALL the different corners of the world, not
just from the West. For example, who set the stage for how the economy
was shaped in Bali during the 1300's? Or in Senegal in 1500's? Again,
this is a peice on economic thinkers/theorists. If you can help me in any
way, direct me to any books, people, whatever, that would be great.
