The Pan American Health Organization believes that
information is one of the most valuable tools for
discharging our mission of Health for All. An informed
public is critical in advancing this mission. As a leader
in health information, PAHO strives to make the
information available to as wide an audience as possible.
To achieve this, PAHO encourages the reproduction of its
information. To make the process easier, PAHO has posted
a simple electronic Reprint Request Form on-line on the
PAHO Web site, in both English and Spanish, at the

Duty Station: Washington, D.C.; Tenure: Two years, first
year probationary period; Division/Program/Office:
Division of Health Promotion and Protection (HPP), Mental
Health Program (HPM)
Salary Information: Basic Salary: $59,963 at single rate;
Post Adjustment: $10,913 at single rate
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: An M.D. degree with
specialization in psychiatry, or a postgraduate degree to
the doctorate level in Social Work, clinical or community
psychology, community mental health nursing, sociology
with specialization in mental health, or a related field,
and an MPH degree. Experience: A combination of fifteen
years of national and/or international experience in the
planning, development, testing and evaluation of mental
health programs, community-based psychiatric services
and/or teaching and research in public mental health.
Languages: Very good knowledge of English and Spanish. A
working knowledge of French or Portuguese would be an
asset.
