Ph.D. Seminar, Graz, 23-24 February 2000

Prior to the EUROPEAN SOCIETY FOR THE HISTORY OF
ECONOMIC THOUGHT Fourth Annual Conference (Graz,25-27
February 2000) there will be a two-day seminar in which Ph.D. students
can present their work to leading experts in their field of research, get
comments and suggestions, and meet and discuss with other
postgraduates. Ph.D. students are, of course, invited to stay on for the
conference. Applications with supporting letters by their supervisors or
other appropriate scholars and a brief proposal for a seminar
presentation should be sent no later than 15 October 1999 to the
address below (keyword: "Ph.D. Seminar"). A scientific committee
consisting of Harald Hagemann, Heinz D. Kurz, Maria Cristina
Marcuzzo, and Andrew Skinner will screen the proposals and inform
applicants by 15 November 1999 if they are accepted. Postgraduates
are asked to secure their own funding; however, there might be the
possibility of a small number of bursaries.
