Both Mat Forstater and Neri Salvadori have referred to works by Bertram Schefold and
Pierangelo Garegnani in opposition to the position taken by Bliss with respect to the
issue of reswitching in the context of intertemporal equilibrium.

I would therefore use this opportunity to recommend an excellent recent book which
contains very nice essays by both Schefold and Garegnani on precisely this topic:
_Critical Essays on Piero Sraffa’s Legacy in Economics_, edited by Heinz D. Kurz,
Cambridge University Press, 2000, ISBN 0-521-58089-7.

The book brings together essays by prominent supporters of the challenge Sraffa presents
to mainstream economics, such as Garegnani, Kurz and Salvadori, and essays by prominent
defenders of the mainstream approach, such as Paul Samuelson, Edwin Burmeister and Samuel
Hollander. As Kenneth Arrow says in a back cover blurb: “The controversies of Sraffa’s
work are well captured here, with all shades of opinion represented.”
