I am pleased to introduce you to the new Archivist of Ontario, Miriam
McTiernan.

Ms. McTiernan has 17 years of experience as an archivist culminating in her
appointment as Yukon Territorial Archivist.  She served in the Yukon
government as Assistant Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister in the
departments of Government Services, Economic Development, and Renewable
Resources.  She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Human
Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO), a position she has
held since March 1999.

Ms. McTiernan holds an Honours BA in History and Latin as well as a
post-graduate diploma in archival studies from the National University of
Ireland in Dublin. She also has an Executive MBA from Queen's University in
Kingston.

The staff of the Archives of Ontario are looking forward to welcoming Ms.
McTiernan when she starts her new position on Monday, March 13th.
