At the November Ontario Library Association Policy Form the issue of a
province wide Ontario Library Card is going to be discussed. Since some
locations outside Ontario have already done this or are looking into it,
I would like to ask everyones help in preparing background information
on this topic.

If you know of any good web sources or printed sources on the topic
could you email me the bibliographical information or my home number is
519-471-1538 or fax me at 519-663-5396

I have included the meeting description below. Thank you in advance for
your help.
Meeting # 4:
Ontario Public Library Association
        AN ONTARIO-WIDE LIBRARY CARD
Chair: Sharon Wilson, King Township Public Library; New
Tecumseth
        Public Library Board, OPLA President.
The idea of a common card for libraries across Ontario was the subject
of
resolutions at the 1999 Annual General Meeting. How other jurisdictions

have adopted this practice will be discussed with consideration of the
conditions that require different answers in this province. A plan for
further study and development is central to discussion in this meeting.
