Somebody should get serious about organizing this award, actually
take it from wild fantasizing to actuality.  If this happens, I
suggest that Hal Holbrook receive the first award.  I know he's been
honored by the Mark Twain society, but if there's anyone in the last,
uh, 47 years who's done the most to keep the peformance spirit of
Twain alive, he's the one.  All the one's mentioned here and by
others would also be appropriate, although I would suggest that,
after Holbrook, the very most Twainian in spirit would be Kurt
Vonnegut.
