==================== HES POSTING ====================
Selection: Hayek, F. A., The Road to Serfdom. Chicago: University
of Chicago Press, 1994. (or, obviously, any of the other
editions, but this is in print.)
Level: It seems appropriate at both grad and undergrad levels,
although the analysis would be deeper at the grad level
of course.
Discussion: For an extemsive evaluation of Hayek's significance, see
Greg Ransom's page at
http://members.aol.com/gregransom/hayekpage.htm
but in summary, the book provides an important, and for too
long overlooked, perspective on the place of markets and
government in an economic system, from a (relatively)
modern author.
