Program Assistant - Information Management and Archives
Permanent part-time position 11:00am - 3:00pm Monday-Friday
Description of Duties
Provide administrative assistance and clerical support to the Coordinator
Information Management and Archives and Information Management program
staff, to support the request processing, tracking and monitoring of
activities associated with the contracted off-site record storage entres.
Processes request to retrieve and refile records from off-site semi-active
record storage centres on a daily basis. Enters, tracks and monitors all
retrieval and refile activities. Assists the Coordinator to calculate
monthly and yearly statistics. Develops, implements and maintains the
program filing system.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Required
Knowledge of offices procedures, structured filing systems and
communication skills normally attained through a certificate in
Records/Information Management or a secondary education plus related
experience. Analytical and time management skills with attention to detail
to establish and adapt to changing priorities, meet scheduled service desk
and assignment deadlines. Proven skill in the operation of a computer
using MS Word, Access and Excel. Knowledge of Hummingbird's Power DOCS an
asset. Ability to receive and communicate requests and information in a
clear and concise manner with program staff, client staff and off-site
record storage staff by telephone, email, fax or in person.
Salary
$15.27/hour to start
