The Facilities Development Project of the Archives of Ontario requires 3
dedicated individuals to monitor the container move process in support of
the Archival Holdings Relocation.  

Purpose of Position: To provide support to the Project Lead in the
relocation of the Archives' 280,000 cubic feet of archival holdings to a new
private sector storage facility by monitoring the container move process.
To verify transfer of Archives' containers into custody of private sector
vendor (Archives ONE).  To provide support to the move team as required
during the move process and report progress to the Project Lead and Project
Archivist on a regular basis.

Duties/Responsibilities: As a member of the Facilities Development Project,
reporting to the Project Lead, the incumbent:

        1.      Monitors and verifies the container move as outlined in the
move plan.
        2.      Counts and verifies container identification and matches
records to verify transfer has occurred. Verifies the bar codes against
pallet listings.
        3.      Identifies and records the number of containers that
required monitoring or replacement due to damage.

Must be able to provide on site services at any one of four warehouse
locations each day of the move.  Locations are in Brampton, Bolton,
Mississauga and Etobicoke.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience in inventory and audit control. Demonstrated
communication skills.  

Contract is for maximum nine months duration. Full job description and
