The Joint Technical Symposium (JTS), first held in 1983, is the
international gathering of organizations and individuals involved in the
preservation and restoration of original image and sound materials. This
year's symposium, entitled "Preserving the AudioVisual Heritage- Transition
and Access," is organized by the Association of Moving Image Archivists, in
collaboration with the Coordinating Council of Audiovisual Archives
Associations. It will take place June 24 to 26, 2004, at the Isabel Bader
Theatre in Toronto. Those interested in presenting at the symposium are
urged to submit their abstracts.

The registration fee for JTS 2004 is US$300 per person. Hotel accommodation
rates are from US$38 to $150; EUR$30 to $115; and C$50 to $180. Both the

personnes vouées à la préservation et à la restauration de matériel
audiovisuel original. Le symposium de cette année, intitulé « La
préservation du patrimoine audiovisuel - La transition et l'accès », est
