Not straying too far from the topic at hand -- another question comes to
mind. Alvin Langdon Coburn produced a series of color photos of Twain.
One of Twain in the Oxford gown was reprinted in the September 1975 issue
of National Geographic. I understand that other publications have also
reprinted the same Coburn photo in a "reversed" mode. Does anyone know if
National Geographic accidentally "flipped" the negative when that issue was
printed? Which is the correct angle?

Thanks,
Barb
