Good morning,

I am an Archives Technician student at Algonquin College, Ottawa, currently working for the Bank of Canada Archives for the summer.  One of my responsibilities is the preparation of a paper recommending an automated archival system and the implications of electronic records and archives - that is, the accession and preservation of records created in electronic format and those that have been digitzed from their original format.  I was wondering if anyone was willing to share their opinions and knowledge with me.

I am also looking into GENCAT and Heritage Sentinel as possibile databases for the Archives.  Can anyone share any good/bad experiences with either system?
