The Archives of Ontario requires two short-term contract archivists to
undertake a variety of archival tasks.  The contract term would start as
soon as possible and continue until March 31, 2002.  Interested candidates
should contact the Archives as soon as possible.

Title: Archivist

Classification: Librarian 2 (Atypical)

Salary Range:  $896 - $998.56 per week

Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of archival science; knowledge of Ontario
history; working knowledge of archival descriptive standards, information
management principles and information technology; experience in appraisal,
acquisition, arrangement and description, preservation and access issues;
excellent communication and analytical skills; leadership, customer service,
organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills; demonstrated ability
to set priorities, provide direction to subordinate staff, and to work with
minimal supervision.
