I am sending this e-mail in reply to your recent inquiry about fire insurance plans.
On page 47 in the book entitled Canadian Fire Insurance Plans in Ontario Collections, 1876-1973 , it states that the London Room has the 1881 (revised 1888) fire insurance plan but it is only available on microfilm. The London Room has the following original fire insurance plans for London:

February, 1892, revised and reprinted - February, 1912; includes Addenda to Index from March 1915 to April, 1922 by Charles E. Goad Co.; 65 sheets

1958, volumes 1 and 2 - entry in book is correct

The London Room also has the following insurance plans on microfilm:

r912.71326 Lon - London - 1881 (revised 1888), 1912 (revised 1915, 1929, 1940)
                                           1948-1950 and 1958 (revised 1960, 1967, 1970)
published by Charles E. Goad, Underwriters' Survey
                                           Bureau and C.N. Lloyd

r912.71327 Sar - Petrolia - 1898-1913, 1925, 1940 published by Charles E. Goad
                                          and Underwriters' Survey Bureau
                         - Point Edward and Sarnia - 1903 (revised 1906, 1913), 1923
(revised 1929) published by Charles E. Goad and
                                                 Underwriters' Survey Bureau

The following message is posted on behalf of Cheryl Woods, Map Curator,
The University of Western Ontario.

Hello,

I'm writing to ask if you would please send a list of your original fire
insurance plans by Goad or Underwriter's Survey Bureau dated between
1876-1973 so that we may include that information in a reference source
we are writing that locates 115 institutions (so far) across Canada that
have fire insurance plans in their collection and are publicly
accessible. We had great success and cooperation for our previous
publication in 1995 entitled "Canadian Fire Insurance Plans in Ontario
Collections, 1876-1973".

Myself and Lorraine Dubreuil (McGill) are working on this catalogue for
the Association of Canadian Map Libraries and Archives and to date is
400 pages in length. I would be grateful for your cooperation so that we
may make this reference as complete as possible. All I need is the name
of the plan, date, number of sheets.
Electronic list or paper copy - whichever is easiest for you. To date,
most of the plans we have located are in map collections, museums,
archives and public libraries. For any of you who have already sent us
your information, thank you and please ignore this message. If you have
any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you,

Cheryl Woods
