CALL FOR PAPERS: "UTILITARIANISM RECONSIDERED" 
 
An interdisciplinary Conference to be held March 22-23 (Saturday- 
Sunday), 1997, at the Monteleone Hotel, 214 Royal Street (in the 
French Quarter), New Orleans, La., USA. 
 
Keynote address to be delivered by John Harsanyi (Berkeley), with 
comments by Ken Binmore (University College London). Organized 
sessions will also involve John Gray (Oxford), Peter Hammond 
(Stanford), James Griffin (Oxford), David Lyons (Boston 
University), Peter Railton (Michigan), William Nelson (Houston), 
Russell Hardin (NYU), Robert Goodin (ANU), Brad Hooker (Reading), 
R.G. Frey (Bowling Green), and others. 
 
Two "Best Paper" Prizes of $1000 each, one restricted to Graduate 
Students. Invited speakers ineligible. Winners to be chosen by a 
panel of distinguished judges and guaranteed publication in 
Utilitas, the journal of the ISUS, published by Edinburgh 
University Press. 
 
PAPER PROPOSAL DEADLINE: September 13, 1996. Paper proposals, 
requests for conference registration materials, and other
