habilation, rehabilitation, education and research. Our award-winning

Currently we an opening for an:

ARCHIVES COORDINATOR (ARCHIVIST/CORPORATE RECORDS)
Permanent Part Time  (3 days/week)
Starting as of March 15, 2003
$22.83 - 26.86 per hour

The Archive Coordinator will work under the jurisdiction of the Vice
President, Corporate Services and will report to the Director, Health Data
records and Registration Services.

Key responsibilities:
*       Manage the Corporate Records/Archive Service to comply with
legislative and regulatory requirements and to preserve the organization's
historical heritage.
*       Update and maintain the Records Retention and Disposal Schedule;
appraise records for storage and destruction; conduct destruction of
scheduled records, advise internal clients regarding retention,
privacy/confidentiality, and destruction of records in any media.
*       Implement a planned EDMS (Electronic Data Management System) and
create and maintain a Disaster Prevention and Business Recovery Plan
*       Appraise, arrange and describe information resources for the
Archive, including responsibility for processing/conservation of
photographic and other audio-visual holdings
*       Facilitate and generate response to internal/external reference and
research needs
Implement and maintain digitization projects; conduct oral history
interviews, administer privacy policies and copyright provisions

Education/Certification/Experience:

*       University degree with specialization in Archive  OR  College
diploma in Records/Archive Management
*       Corporate records/Archive management experience in the Health Care
field strongly preferred
*       Demonstrated knowledge of RAD application and familiarity with EDMS
*       Computer literacy to include MS Word, INMAGIC
*       In-depth knowledge of legislation, regulations pertinent to the
field (retention, destruction, copyright, privacy, etc.)
*       Demonstrates strategic thinking, analytical and organizational
skills, leadership, project and financial management skills, and attention
to detail
*       Effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to
work independently but cooperatively with others
Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
