"The Unions Versus Higher Wages" was published in the March 1906  
issue of the Journal of Political Economy. It was originally delivered on  
November 15, 1905 by J. Laurence Laughlin to a banquet in St. Louis  
of the Citizens' Industrial Association. At the time, C.W. Post, owner  
of the Postum Cereal Company was president of the Association and  
its chief publicist.   
 
I'm wondering if anyone is aware of any published accounts of the  
relationship between Laughlin and Post, the Citizens' Industrial  
Association or its parent organization, the National Association of  
Manufacturers?
