DANCEMAKERS

POSITION:  Contract Archivist
DATES:  May 20 to July 31, 2002
CLOSING:    April 26, 2002

Dancemakers, one of Canada's leading contemporary dance companies, seeks an
Archivist to preserve and catalogue its 28-year history.

During this 11-week contract the Archivist will begin the tasks associated
with the arrangement, description and preservation of Dancemakers' archival
collection, based on existing recommendations.  In addition, the Archivist
will be responsible for designing and creating a database for the collection
using existing database software.  All work will take place at the
Dancemakers' office, 927 Dupont Street.

Candidates applying should have in-depth knowledge of archival standards,
rules and practices and have experience with InMagic/DB Textworks database
software.
