In this second of the ACA 2011 Conference Host Committee's series of
social activity spotlights, we are offering delegates the opportunity
to visit the Archives of Ontario's new purpose-built facility.

The Archives of Ontario is the largest provincial archives in Canada.
In 2009, the Archives moved from its downtown Toronto location to its
new home on York University's Keele campus. With considerably
increased space in this purpose-built state of the art facility, the
Archives now has a much larger reading room, an exhibit gallery, and a
classroom space that accommodates a variety of educational initiatives.

ACA conference delegates are invited to visit the facility during the
afternoon of Tuesday, June 2nd. The agenda will include opening
remarks by acting Archivist of Ontario Angela Forest, a presentation
on move highlights by the Archives' Outreach Unit, and an exclusive
behind the scenes look at the facility. Light refreshments will be
served and conference delegates will be able to meet and mingle with
Archives staff.
