Position Title Research Assistant - Cessation Needs Assessment Project

Department: Ontario Tobacco Research Unit, University of Toronto
Hiring Rate: $18.00/hour
Appointment: Full- or Part-time for 3 months with the possibility of 
extension
 
Position Summary:
Under the direction of Professor Robert Schwartz, Director of Evaluation 
and Monitoring, the Research Assistant is responsible for providing 
research support to the Cessation Needs Assessment Project.
 
Primary Responsibilities: 
·        Help schedule and conduct semi structured interviews. 
·        Clean SPSS database and analyze data. 
·        Code semi structured interviews using N6
·        Conduct qualitative and quantitative statistical analyses. 
·        Assist with the preparation and production of project reports, 
presentations, and publications 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
·        Minimum educational level: undergraduate degree 
·        Previous experience in research and evaluation 
·        Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis 
·        Strong working knowledge of SPSS and N6 
 
Other Qualifications:
·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
·        Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail 
·        Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
 
This is a casual position governed by the United Steel Workers of America 
Local 1998 Casual Staff Collective Agreement.
