Greetings,

Attached is the information regarding the Summer Internship Program 2009
(SIP). Below are details about the program. It is preferred that
applicants have the prior support of the proposed CBS supervisor, who can
be from any CBS department, and preferably complete the outline of the
proposed project (Page 6 of form SIP-09).

The deadline for applications to the Summer Internship Program is Feb. 16,
2009 for funding in May 2009.

To facilitate the "matching" of potential students and supervisors for the
SIP, we have attached an updated contact list for all locations.
Applicants may email/phone the contact person for the location at which
they are interested in working. The contact person will then try to match
up the applicant's expertise with a supervisor/position in their location.

Specifically, some applicants do not have a CBS supervisor when they send
in their application. In order to ?match up? applicants with potential
supervisors, R&D (HO) will look at the applicant?s preferred location and
their areas of interest. We will then reach the contact person to see if
anyone is interested in supervising a student at their location.

If there is a successful match, the supervisor completes pg. 5 of the SIP
application providing an overview of the project highlighting the
resources available to the candidate.

On pg. 6 of the SIP application, the supervisor should describe the
objective and approach of the project and its relevance to the goals of
CBS.

Regards, Elaine
