I hope this email finds you well. Our team at the University of Toronto is organizing the 13th Annual Dalla Lana School of Public Health Student-Led Conference. This is a free, virtual conference that draws hundreds of attendees from across Canada, and this year’s theme is ‘The New Normal: Takeaways on Health Misinformation During a Pandemic’.


We are currently accepting research and practice abstracts from students, trainees and researchers for oral and poster presentations during the conference. This is a great opportunity to share research and/or programs with fellow public health students and professionals. We were wondering if you could kindly promote this opportunity with your students, trainees and/or staff members through your (listserv/newsletter).


The abstracts are due on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 at 11:59 PM. However, we will be accepting abstracts until the end of the week to allow for more time and are flexible if presenters need more time. We would encourage authors to apply even if the projects do not have an explicit focus on misinformation. Interested individuals or groups may submit abstracts through this short form: https://forms.gle/pbBAHxYGw8QUVXBS9.


The conference is set to take place on November 11th, 2021 to November 13th, 2021. More information about the abstract submission and oral/poster presentations can be found in the attached call for abstracts document.
