Dear HH Colleagues,
Just a friendly reminder that the deadline for students to submit the
Lillian Wright Maternal-Child Health Undergraduate Scholarship application
is next Friday, February 27th, 2009.
Once again, I have attached an application form for the Lillian Wright
Maternal-Child Health Undergraduate Scholarship. We are asking for your
assistance in getting this scholarship information out to Faculty of
Health undergraduate students interested in the area of Maternal-Child
Health.
Please alert faculty members in your units about this undergraduate
scholarship opportunity.
Award Criteria: The Lillian Wright Maternal-Child Health Undergraduate
Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students in the Faculty of Health
who have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 7.5 and who
demonstrate an interest in the area of maternal-child health.
Areas of study may include, but are not limited to:
Maternal-child health
Maternal-child mental well-being
Early child development
Mother-infant relationships
Mothers, stress and coping
Developmental pathways in infants and young children
Pre-natal and post-natal interventions
Health promotion for mothers and children
Environmental considerations in infant/child health and development
Patient safety issues relating to maternal-child health
Health policy and practice in relation to mothers, infants and children
Award Value: $2 500.00
