Don't forget?January 31, 2008 marks the deadline for four different DAAD
scholarship and grant programs:

Undergraduate Scholarship: Highly qualified second- and third-year
students are invited to apply for scholarships funding study, thesis
research, and/or internships in Germany. All academic fields welcome. DAAD
support is for a 4?10 month period in Germany between October 2008 and
July 2009.

University Summer Course Grant: Undergraduate and graduate students may
apply for funding for German-taught courses in the catalogue focusing
mainly on literary, cultural, political and economic aspects of modern and
contemporary Germany. Several of these grants are made possible by the
DAAD Alumni Association of the US, including one that is specially
earmarked for an applicant in the fine arts.

Intensive Language Courses: Graduate students in all fields of study
except English, German, or any other modern language or literature are
eligible to apply for 8-week summer language courses in Germany.

Learn German in Germany: Faculty members may apply for 4?8 weeks of
language training in Germany at any time during the year. Although
previously listed as discontinued, this program will indeed take place in
2008, though the number of grants available is extremely limited.
