Abstract Submission Deadline Extended - Canadian Society for Epidemiology 
& Biostatistics 2010 Student Conference






To Whom It May Concern: 
 
Please note the abstract submission deadline for the National Student 
Conference of the Canadian Society for Epidemiology & Biostatistics has 
been extended to March 1, 2010.  Attached is the call for abstracts and an 
abstract submission template. We would greatly appreciate the 
dissemination of this information to undergraduate and graduate students 
within your department as a final reminder notice.  
 
Queen?s University is proud to host the annual National Student Conference 
of the Canadian Society for Epidemiology & Biostatistics on May 27th-28th, 
2010. Conference participants include students with an interest in 
exposure to research in areas related to Epidemiology and Biostatistics 
(can include public health, population health, health services and policy 
research, health economics, international health, health sciences, general 
sciences, etc.) presenting their own original research.
 
The Scientific Program Committee invites abstracts for oral and poster 
presentations related to Epidemiology and Biostatistics.The conference 
organizers would like to see all delegates have the opportunity to present 
work; therefore proposals, research in progress, and final findings are 
eligible for presentation.
 
 
Who should submit an abstract?
 
Presentations from undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral students are 
welcome.
 
Submission Instructions
Structured abstracts must include:
Title ? Choose a title that clearly identifies your presentation 
Authors ? Name, title, affiliation, with student presenter underlined 
Presenters ? Name, title, organization, contact information 
Abstracts ? The abstract must include the presentation's purpose and 
intended audience and a brief description of the presentation. The 
abstract must be 200 words or less and double spaced. Please structure the 
abstract with the following headings (if applicable): Background, Purpose, 
Study Design, Methods, Results, Conclusions.  
Abstracts must be submitted by e-mail to: [log in to unmask] using 
the attached Microsoft Word template 
 
Abstracts must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST, Monday, March 1, 2010
Notification of selected abstracts will occur by email by Monday, March 
15, 2010
