Subject: Amnesty International Canada Health Network Advocacy Speaker Series

Dear York University’ Health Studies,

Nice to make your e-acquaintance. I’m writing on behalf of the Amnesty International Canada Health Network to introduce our inaugural Advocacy Speaker Series featuring medical professionals involved in various areas of activism. Please see the attached promotional poster for a vignette of what the series offers.

Goal: The goal of this initiative is to introduce healthcare learners to the landscape of advocacy and the various ways it can manifest, in hopes of providing member the skills to get involved in healthcare and social issues that they are passionate about. From patient safety to climate change to BIPOC women in leadership, we have a wide range of advocacy issues discussed in this series.

How to access the Speaker Series: The finished series is linked below for you to review.* Steps to access the modules can be found attached to the email. A certificate recognizing series completion can be provided. This will be possible for viewers who have created an EdApp account and viewed 6 or more of the 10 modules from their account.

Thank you sincerely for your consideration. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Warm regards,
