November has arrived, the weather is getting colder, and end of term assignments, deadlines and exams are fast approaching, with the Learning Skills Services<https://www.yorku.ca/scld/learning-skills/> team here to help!


This month’s November Workshop Calendar<https://www.yorku.ca/scld/learning-skills/workshops/> features topics such as Time Management, Critical Thinking, Exam Preparation and more to help students successfully finish up the term.  Registration information can be found on the LSS website<https://www.yorku.ca/scld/learning-skills/>.  Here you will also find lots of helpful resources and information about all of our services, including Peer Academic Coaching<https://www.yorku.ca/scld/learning-skills/appointment/>, where students may meet individually with a Learning Skills Peer.



We would also like to draw your attention to the following Learning Commons<http://learningcommons.yorku.ca/> initiatives:


  *   “Virtual Welcome Desk” online chat service where students can chat live with a Learning Skills Peer, Monday to Friday from 1:30-3:30 pm, to get help on how to navigate the many resources available within the Learning Commons. Students can log on to the chat when it’s open through either the Learning Commons<http://learningcommons.yorku.ca/> or Learning Skills<https://www.yorku.ca/scld/learning-skills/> websites.



  *   Our fall special event, YU Got This!<https://www.yorku.ca/scld/event/yu-got-this-academic-tips-tools-for-end-of-term-2/> Academic Tips & Tools for End of Term, will be held on Tuesday November 23, from 11 am -12 pm. Please join us and our Learning Commons partners for practical tips and tools to help students prepare for end of term assignment and exams.
