The Youth for Youth Health (YYH) project has four
complementary objectives:

The Global YYH Action Handbook
The YYH 4-Year Plan
The YYH Conference (Vancouver, Canada, March 20-24, 1995)
Youth Participation in the Youth Health Assembly

These elements of Youth for Youth Health will come together in
March, 1995 in Vancouver, Canada. During this time,
participants in the Youth for Youth Health Conference (YYHC)
will develop their expertise and skills related to
for-youth-by-youth health initiatives. At the same time, they
will provide direction for the YYH Action Handbook and
Four-Year Plan.

YYHC participants will also exchange ideas with health and
youth-service professionals attending the 6th International
Congress on Adolescent Health and the Annual Meeting of the
Society for Adolescent Medicine. Together, YYHC and these two
professional gatherings form the Youth Health Assembly, a
landmark event in involving young people positively in youth
health issues. The Youth Health Assembly is co-sponsored by
UNICEF, the Pan-American Health Organization and the World
Health Organization.

The Canadian deadline for proposals for YYHC workshops, YYH
Action Handbook Submissions and applications for subsidy to
attend the YYHC is December 15, 1994. The YYH Information
Package available from the CYF details how to submit workshop
proposals, ideas for the Handbook and applications for
subsidy.
