CDC and DHPE Join to Sponsor the 23rd National Conference on Health Promotion and Education, May 25-27, Hilton Minneapolis, Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Early Registration Ends April 22!



It's not too late!  You can still make plans to attend the CDC/DHPE National Health Promotion and Health Education Conference, but hurry - conference pre-registration ends April 22, 2005.  Join us in healthy Minnesota!  Visit the DHPE website www.dhpe.org/nationalconference  for full conference details and on-line registration.



  a.. Full conference pre-registration deadline is April 22, 2005 


  a.. A block of rooms have been reserved just for conference participants.  
The rate, available until April 29th, is $105 for single or double occupancy. Make room reservations by calling toll free 1-888-933-5363 and ask for the Health Promotion Conference.   



  a.. Pre conference workshops, held on Tuesday, May 24 include: 
Collaborative Leadership, taught by Jeffrey Wilson from the National Excellence Collaborative; Logic Models as a Platform for Program Evaluation & Planning, taught by Goldie MacDonald, from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Addressing Health Disparities through Community-driven, Culturally-based Health Promotion, with faculty from the OMMH in Minnesota. Plus others!



  a.. Obtain CHES credits - DHPE is a multiple-event provider for NCHEC. 
It is anticipated that the conference will be worth up to 20 CECH's with an additional 3.5-7.0 CECHs for those attending one of the pre-conference workshops.
