CCS Health Equity Research Grants – Advancing a more accessible and inclusive cancer care system<https://cancer.ca/en/research/for-researchers/funding-opportunities/health-equity-research-grants>

The purpose of this funding program is to support research projects that seek to advance cancer-related health equity. Projects must be collaborative, co-created by people both affected by cancer and by structural marginalization, and designed to address the systemic, structural, and institutional factors that sustain health disparities in Canada. Applications should take a social determinants of health perspective in identifying and defining both the health equity need and the community of focus, taking care to consider the intersectionalities of such communities.



Timelines:

  *   Program Launch: May 25, 2022
  *   Abstract Registration Deadline: July 20, 2022
  *   Full Application Deadline: September 8, 2022
  *   Notice of Decision: November 2022
  *   Funding Start Date: December 1, 2022



Funds available:

  *   Up to $3M total over 3 years for this funding program
  *   Up to $300k per grant over 2-3 years

Subventions de recherche pour l'équité en santé - Promouvoir un système de soins du cancer plus accessible et inclusif<https://cancer.ca/fr/research/for-researchers/funding-opportunities/health-equity-research-grants>

Le but de ce programme de financement est d’appuyer des projets de recherche visant à faire progresser l’équité en santé liée au cancer. Les projets doivent être collaboratifs, cocréés par des personnes atteintes de cancer et touchées par la marginalisation structurelle et conçus pour s’attaquer aux facteurs systémiques, structurels et institutionnels qui alimentent les disparités en matière de santé au Canada. Les demandes devraient déterminer et définir, du point de vue des déterminants sociaux de la santé, le besoin associé à l’équité en santé ainsi que la communauté sur laquelle l’accent sera mis, en prenant soin de tenir compte des intersectionnalités des communautés concernées.



Échéanciers :



  *   Date limite pour l'inscription du résumé : 20 juillet, 2022
  *   Date limite pour la demande intégrale : 8 septembre, 2022
  *   Annonce des résultats : novembre 2022
  *   Date de début prévue : 1er décembre, 2022
