The LSE's Department of Economic History runs a broad PhD programme with around 30-40 students all told, and accepts students with research proposals in history of economics as well as in economic history. It includes a track of course work in history of economics, always has some PhD students writing PhD theses in history of economics, and now has a new seminar in history and philosophy of economics organised by the PhD student group.
