The discussion of scrip money has been interesting.  Over the years I 
have met some North Dakotans that remember experiments with scrip 
money during the depression.  The January 24-30th issue of the 
Economist offers a discussion of scrip money on page 81.  In addition 
to Fisher it mentions Silvio Gesell.
