This year marks 150 years since the publication of Gossen's _Entwicklung_. 
It is typically stated that the book was entirely neglected by 
contemporaries. My question is: was it, really? For instance, Vernadsky in 
his HET textbook (1858) does mention Gossen (alongside with Jennings), 
albeit briefly.
