Various H-Net lists may be interested in a long-running discussion on 
postmodern theory and history that has been appearing on H-German since 
early August.  It began as a reaction to two articles in the May 1995 
issue of the _German Studies Review_ and has continued by discussing 
postmodern theory as applied both to history in general and to Germany in 
particular.  The issues involved apply to many different geographical and 
thematic interests, and interested parties may wish to access the 
discussion.  It might be of special interest for graduate students 
interested in historiography.
