We initially wanted to provide a straightforward critique of how corporations had taken over the boards of food banks and food diversion schemes in Canada along the lines of what Andy Fisher documented in the USA in Big Hunger.

However, NO food insecurity and food-related journal would consider our paper for publication.  This led us to prepare a more theoretical critique which was published in the Sage journal Capital and Class.
