Thanks to Terry Ballard for passing on the address of the
publisher for the _Dan De Quille Journal_ a few weeks ago.
For others who are interested in the _De Quille Journal_, I
wrote to Falcon Hill Press for a sample copy, and today
received the following reply from Dave Basso, the founder:

          Yes, the _Dan De Quille Journal_ is our publication;
it is an irregular periodical and we do not have any
sample copies of previous issues at this time. I
will be glad to add your name to our mailing lists
so that you will receive a copy of the next issue,
although I cannot tell you when that will be. We do
not accept subscription payments in advance of
          publication; subscribers forward payment after
          receiving copies.

If you want to get on the mailing list, write: Falcon
Hill Press, Box 1431, Sparks, Nevada 89432-1431. Or phone
(702) 786-2134.

In case anyone is wondering how this is related to Mark
Twain, De Quille worked with Twain on the Virginia City
_Territorial Enterprise_ in the early 1860s, and their
association has been the subject of several recent articles in
the _MT Journal_ and _MT Circular_.
