Dear wonderful LIST-members:

I've dug around, grinding the wheels -- but it remains my understanding
that Twain and Du Bois never met: David Levering Lewis says as much (chief
biographer of WEBD). There are no mentions of Du Bois, or any letters to
or from Du Bois, in the MTP databases.

Again, I defer to the hundreds of truly expert readers here to confirm
simply:

Is that accurate?? was there any contact whatsoever?? thanks, --Hal B.
