Subject: Call For Papers
 
For the 20th annual meeting of the Philological Association of the Carolinas,
March 14-16, 1996, to be held here at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, I
would like to organize a special session entitled "Mark Twain in the Nineties."
(You could read that as either 1890s or 1990s.)  If you are interested, please
send me a proposal and a brief (one-page) CV.  You must be a PAC member to
present (membership is $10; you may join later if you are accepted).  Deadline
for proposals is October 1.
 
Most members of PAC teach in the Carolinas, but we have members from a number of
states.  Rock Hill is twenty miles south of Charlotte, NC.
