Thought I'd pass along that this morning's _New York Times_ features a story on Twain's Elmira.  Try this link (not sure if it'll work for you; it's from my NewsTracker service).  If the link doesn't work, it's in the New York Region section, or maybe you can searh for it online at the NYT website.  The article is called "Huck Finn's Birthplace, Along the Mighty Chemung" By Michelle York.
